New-ish Necklace + Annick Goutal Perfume

The necklace:

I got sucked in with 3 for 2 promotion with this piece. Theoretically I didn’t pay anything for it because I had two lovely things in my basket already so I thought, why not! This was back in December.

I am not really big on big jewellery. I prefer dainty and simple things. I was convinced this necklace will be another ‘sitting on the cabinet, looking pretty, never worn’ purchase. As you can see it took me nearly 3 months to actually wear it.

To me it looks best when worn with simple tee and a blazer or cardigan. I really don’t like to overdo it. I consider this a statement item of my outfit. It’s made out of layers of thin suede (not sure if genuine but very soft) strings and randomly attached crystal beads. It’s one of these things that can be dressy or casual depending on what you pair it with.

I purchased it in Dorothy Perkins and not sure if you’d be able to still find it. But there are a lot of long similar pieces out there now.

The perfume:

When I saw generous bottle of perfume in December Feel Unique box I instantly said ‘I better like the scent of this!’. It’s not common to find what looks like proper, full size perfume bottle in a beauty box.

One sniff and I could live peacefully again. It is difficult to describe the scent simply because I am rubbish at it. What I can say is that Mandragore is sophisticated, sweet but fresh and sensuous. If I was one of the people that separate their day and night fragrance, I would call it a night one.

I have to say, I was surprised when saw regular price of this perfume. It is quite affordable. It isn’t cheap but I’d put it on a medium price shelf. I was expecting this to be one of those super expensive products no one could buy after finishing their sample. Nicely surprised.

Any of you tried Annick Goutal fragrance?
