Haul + First impressions

I got paid. This means one thing and one thing only. Shopping. Does anyone else go crazy when they get paid and then moan they're skint for the rest of the month? Well, I do that and it's not very smart. But on the bright side I've got a bunch of lovely new products to enjoy throughout the month.
No7 Cleansing Brush - First two uses felt really harsh on my skin. But I got used to it after that and it just feels normal now. I am trying different foaming cleansers with it to see what works best. So far I think it cleanses really well but definitely not a everyday use for me.
Ped Egg - I was actually petrified to use this! It looks like a cheese grater! But it's absolutely fine. I walk a lot and run on a treadmill at the gym so my feet get a horrible build up of callous on a daily basis. I only used it once and it took quite a long time... result wasn't super smooth skin but that's not what it's designed for.
Burt's Bees Head To Toe Kit - I have only used hand salve and foot cream from this little kit. Hand salve seems very thick and foot cream is more like a gel formula.
Burt's Bees Radiance Facial Cleanser - I only used this with the No7 brush and I really liked this combination of products.

Cocoa Butter Formula Daily Cleansing Gel - I found this little drying. When used with the No7 brush it made the whole process quite harsh and uncomfortable. I definitely prefer Burt's Bees cleanser to this.
Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm - This has super thick formula. It's almost difficult to get out of the tub. My skin felt nice after but I didn't get that deeply cleansed feeling.
Dr.Organic Manuca Honey Deodorant - This stuff does stop the sweat smell. I can vouch for that. However it has very overwhelming honey scent which can be little bit irritating.

I will continue to use all of the above products and will do separate reviews. We all know first impressions can be very misleading sometimes. I hope you enjoyed the read nevertheless.

Mini random bargain haul

Hi guys!

I don't think I should even call this post a 'haul' as it's only two items :D But I really wanted to share it with you. Reason being, both are bargains and I just got them so you might still be able to purchase if you like.

First is this super gorgeous necklace from Dorothy Perkins. They had quite a few of these chunky ones on 50% sale. All were gorgeous but I settled for mint. I just can't stay away from this colour!
I don't normally wear necklaces of any kind, especially chunky ones. But I've been seeing this kinda thing all over social media. And when my eyes seen something so many itmes, for so long.... it started to grow on me and I caved in :)
I really enjoy wearing it with a simple vest. It gives that pretty accent to the outfit.

Sale + my NUS card (yeey for being a student) = gorgeous necklace for around £5.50

Second item is super random. It's a garden swing! First of all let me say this: I love home bargains! I bought so many good quality things from there. From skincare to.... bathroom cabinets and swing sets.
I couldn't believe it but this was only £65. I will get so much use out of it! So far every single day after work I sat on it and enjoyed cup of coffee. So relaxing and de-stressing. Everyone should have one of these.

Hope you enjoyed my little random post. Let me know if you have or will get any of these items :)

The Body Shop goodies

I’m sure you’ve all noticed I’ve not been doing any haul posts for quite a while now. I decided to stop doing them simply because I’d rather feature products I’ve actually been using and had time to form an opinion about.

So why the exception from the rule today?

I was randomly browsing some beauty websites (as you do) and stumbled upon The Body Shop one. It turned out they not only have sale going on right now but also give you a code for 30% off of everything including sale items. Plus it was a free delivery on orders over £25 and free mini shower gel. Who could resist that?
This particular offer has ended but there are lots of other great promotions on the website at the moment. You should definitely check it out :)

I got my parcel yesterday and everything smells so delicious I had to tell you all about it straight away.

*Pink Grapefruit Body Mist – not overwhelming, super refreshing scent. I found body mists to be great as a refresher after z long day at work.
*Mango Beautifying Oil – this scent is to die for! Gorgeous fruity mango, again not overwhelming. Looking forward to try this out on my hair and dry areas of my body.
*White Musk Sun Glow Eau De Toilette – I don’t really know how to describe it other than perfect summer scent! Not that we have any summer here…
*Blue Corn 3 in 1 Deep Cleansing Mask – I love deeply invigorating face masks/exfoliators. My skin always feels super soft and blackhead free after Soap&Glory No Clogs Allowed and I’m hoping this is going to be that kind of product.
*Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel – have to say, I’m not a massive fan of The Body Shop shower gels. They’re just an average product, not moisturizing enough for my liking. Nonetheless this was a freebie and it will definitely get used up.
*Aloe & Soft Linen Home Fragrance Oil – beautiful, fresh, clean scent. My home will smell lovely now!

I also love the fact that The Body shop is against animal testing and supports community fair trade.

MUA Cosmetics haul

Hello sweeties!

Just a quick post to show you what came to me in a parcel yesterday. I have placed an order with Mua website just after Christmas and haven't had any communication from them till the day before yesterday. I am not very happy with their customer service and here's why.  On Tuesday I have emailed them to see if my order is being processed but had no response. On Wednesday about 6pm I received an email saying order has been shipped (stamp on the envelope states Tuesday which is the day when I emailed them the first time). It arrived yesterday with one missing item. I have still been charged for this item and on the invoice that line is highlighted without any explanation. Today I got a response to my original email saying that my order is being processed and will be shipped soon! Clearly they don't know what is going on. I have informed them that parcel has been delivered already and mentioned the missing item. Should I expect another delivery or a refund will be issued? I got no reply...
I am not making a big deal out of it all and I am sure they will sort it out eventually. I just wanted to tell you about my experience because MUA didn’t make a good first impression. Hope yours will be better if you order from MUA website.
This stuff doesn't cost much but still… I think fairly new company like this should be working on their customer services to be top notch.

  • Blusher shade 2
  • Blusher shade 4
  • Heaven & Earth Eyeshadow palette
  • Immaculate Collection (this was a free gift worth £8!)
Item I didn't receive was trio eyeshadow in shade Innocence. I did not use any of these as of yet. I will off course review them for you guys as soon as I test them out and develop an opinion on the products :)

Have an amazing weekend!

ELF Cosmetics Sale Haul

Hello sweeties!

Last weekend I have received a Free Delivery code for ELF website. I obviously took advantage of it and immediately placed an order :)
I was really surprised when post man handed me a parcel with ELF logo on it just yesterday :) So I thought I will share with you what I got. Majority of the items were in the sale so you might still get some of them if you hurry. Brilliant thing with Elf is that once you place your first order you get lots and lots of discount codes on your email. I only order from them when I've got a promo code :)

  • Natural Eyeshadow Palette £1.75 sale
  • Smoky Eyeshadow Palette £1.75 sale
  • Conditioning Lip Balm Mellow Melon £3.50
  • Nail Polish Smoky Brown £1 sale
  • Nail Polish Cranberry £1 sale
  • Matte Finisher Nail Polish £1 sale

I only paid £10 for this lot! I will test everything out and let you know my thoughts.

Dose of randomness:
  • "Girl with the Dragon tattoo" movie was really good! I am glad I have read the book before seeing it thou
  • I have got so many ideas for blog posts and so much I would like to show you peeps! Just not enough time :(
  • I am like 10 years late on the whole "matte nails" wagon but looking forward to see how it looks
  • I have got three scratch cards in front of me right now.... I might be telling you in my next post that I am going to Maldives on a holiday.....NOT

There was a sale going on in Primark a week ago and I picked up this blouse and skirt. I have wanted a sheer blouse like this one for a while now so I got really excited when saw it in a sale section. When I got to the till it turned out both of the items are still regular price :( But I liked them so much that I decided to break the rule and buy a full priced item during the sale season :) Belt was in the sale thou... :) Both pieces are very cute and will go with a lot of my clothes.
Superdrug had a sale going on too and this time I picked up reduced bits. I am really curious how these two items compare to couple of my favorite products I am using at the moment. I will keep you posted!

Have a great Friday!
