A bit of bad
news and a bit of good news.

I have
decided to close ‘The BeautyFul World’ blog and open a new one. Why would I do
this, you might wonder. Let me explain.

I like
blogging. I like writing about beauty products, food or fun things I have done.
I feel however like the whole blogging experience was just ‘not me’. I see so
many lovely blogs out there. Beautiful clean pictures, great writing, great
outfits, all done by absolutely gorgeous girls. And I can’t help but compare
myself to them all. I am really hard on myself, like always. I never think I’m
good enough, I always think there are people so much better than me and
whatever I do I just won’t be as good as any of them. This applies to
everything – makeup, outfits, studying, career, you name it.

Now apply this to blogging. I have always tried to be like those girls. Post
crisp, clean, gorgeous pictures of trendy outfits or great makeup looks, or
shopping hauls. I always failed, my pictures just won’t ever be that good, I
can’t dress that well and simply don’t have time to apply makeup for 40 minutes
so that it’s perfect for blog pictures. I know I am failing because I don’t
have many views, no comments and subscribers keep disappearing.

In the
light on me trying to be me, I decided not to give up on blogging, I really
enjoy it and I simply don’t want to stop. Instead I am going to try and make it
MY blog. Post the way I am: geeky, definitely not perfect, not that pretty and
not thin or fit. I don’t shop much, I like natural products, I re-use stuff because
I care for the environment, I like making stuff. I want to share the things I
love and don’t love with the world and I hope the world wants to see it.

So that’s that! I think the new blog will definitely be a lifestyle blog, just
a bit of everything, lots or random stuff. Any ideas on what I should call it?
It’s going to be hard to gain audience in this day and age where there is so
many great blogs out there. But I hope to see you there. Stay tuned for the new
link.

I have mentioned
before that I am a huge fan of Donna Hay’s ‘Fresh and Light’ cook book. I use recipes
from this book on a regular basis. I want to show you how easy, fast and
delicious to make dinner with this book.

The book
has breakfast, deserts, sides any many more recipes and I highly recommend it. I
will definitely purchase more of Donna’s cook books.

cup finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes, 250g quartered mixed cherry tomatoes (I
used red as that’s all I had in the fridge), 1 cup basil leaves, 1 table spoon
each white balsamic vinegar and olive oil, sea salt, cracked black pepper and
finely grated parmesan. Toss through 200g hot spaghetti to serve.

Let me
start by saying that this product is absolutely useless. In fact it made my
hair look worse instead of better.

You can see
in the picture below that this ‘dry’ shampoo is not so dry. In fact it just
sprays out a thin liquid. This murky liquid goes everywhere when sprayed out.
It ended up on my walls, mirror and everything that was around.
As you can imagine, the liquid did not absorb the excess oil from the hair, like
the packaging promises. Instead it made my hair even greasier looking and they
were horribly rough to touch afterwards.

I used it about 4-5 times and made sure I shook the heck out of that can before
spraying it on my hair. The result was the same every time.

I have purchased two bottles of this (why?! oh why?!). Natural Topioca is in
the picture and the other one is Limited Edition Scent Fresh Balance. The second
one is just as bad as the first one so I rule out the ‘faulty/one off bad product’.

I am sorry but I have nothing good to say about this product. I am going back
to my beloved Batiste or just simple baby powder.

I’ve got
super small post for you today. I have been really lazy when it comes to beauty
this past month hence not much to share with you. However three products featured
in this post, I did use consistently throughout the month. I shall explain why.

Bath &
Body Works Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Body Lotion – First I mentioned it here,
saying I wasn’t sure about the scent. Then I mentioned it here, saying I will
make the effort of using it. And here I am talking about it again. Well, I love
it! I got used to the scent, it doesn’t bother me at all. Most importantly
though, it is a great body lotion. Makes my skin soft and keeps it moisturised
for couple of days. The ‘moisturised’ effect does not go away after the shower
which is rarely seen in body lotions.

Burt’s Bees
Hand Salve – Ok, so I have a snotty nose. Like, constantly. This stuff is THE
only stuff that keeps my nose from fully peeling off. Thanks to this, I still
have a nose. So what I’m trying to say is that this stuff is amazing. I use it
on any dry skin patches – elbows, nose, lips …

Barry M Natural
Dazzle Bronzer – I get so pale in the winter, I sometimes scare myself when
look in the mirror in the morning. This stuff is great for us stark white
faces. Gives a natural finish, it’s matt, great for contouring and whole face
bronzing.

1. Boots
Botanics Hydrating Eye Cream – to be fair I just want to use this up. I have
used it quite a lot before but didn’t really notice any hydration. I will try
to use it every evening before bed to see if that makes any difference.

2. Organic
Surge First Class Mask – I’ve had this for quite some time so just want to use
it up. It’s a nice product, the skin feels nice and soft after using it.

3. Abi Soft
Sun Self Tan – I don’t normally use self-tanners but I get so pale in the
winter that I need a little tanner help during this season. This one is for English
roses meaning that it’s very subtle and light. It only gives a hint of colour
which makes me look healthy instead of ghost white.

4. Clinique 04
Totally Neutral Eye shadow Trio – I have been so lazy with make-up lately! I can’t
remember the last time I applied eye shadow. It is so easy and quick to create a
day time look with this trio. I thought it’s perfect to ease me back into using
eye shadows.

5. Revlon
Brown Eye Pencil – I don’t even know what pencil this is, all I know its Revlon.
The writing rubbed off and most of it is used up anyway. This pencil is so old,
I just want to use it up. I thought it will go nicely with the Clinique trio.

6. L’oreal Studio
Secrets Primer – I did not get on with this at first. But I reached for it
again in the summer and it turned out to work great. I don’t usually need to
use primers in the winter because my skin gets dry. But the office where I work
gets so hot and stuffy that my make-up needs a little primer help in order not
to melt off of my face.

I will be
reviewing all of the products featured in my ‘Shipping my stash’ series at one
point or another. Not everything is worth a whole post but it might end up in
my empties post, random faves or a monthly fail so stay tuned.

Batiste Dry
Shampoo – I have tried many dry shampoos and always come back to Batiste. Yes,
it leaves white cast on the hair BUT apart from that it is the best dry shampoo
I have ever tried.

V05 Firm
Hold Hairspray – okish hairspray, left my hair little bit crunchy.

Neutrogena
Multi - Defence Daily Moisturiser – lovely product. I will definitely
re-purchase. It moisturises well, has SPF 15, soaks in well, leaves the skin
feeling soft and smells lovely (its scent will forever remind me of the holiday
in Tenerife cause that’s where I used it for the first time).

Avon Far
Away Exotic Perfume – I didn’t really like the scent of it. I layered it with
different perfumes just to use it up. That’s the problem with Avon, the page of
the catalogue smells different to the actual perfume in the bottle.

The Body
Shop White Musk Sun Glow - lovely summer scent. Shame it only lasts on the skin
for a couple of hours.

Bio – Oil –
I’m not really sure what to think of this. I feel like it is a great
moisturizer but it didn’t really do anything with my scars. I have applied it
every day for about a month but the scars (one on my leg scratched by a tree
branch and on my arm – paintballing!!) still look the same.

Heart lip
gloss – got this random little cute thing from a friend. Just a nice one to
keep in a pocket, it was quite moisturizing!

My organiser
is from Paperchase (can’t find it on the website anymore but it’s a simple
black A5) and it came with an insert divided into six sections. After
few months of using the organiser I found that I have only been using the Diary
part of the insert. I couldn’t make the other sections work for me. So I
decided to make my own dividers and customise the organizer to meet my needs.

I have traced Paperchase devider shape on a double-sided scrapbooking paper and
simply cut it out. I punched the holes in the dividers using a single-hole
punch. I have then found a random brown envelope that was lying around on the
table and cut out the tags. Glued the tags on and stamped the section names on
them.

The whole process was very easy and a lot of fun. But most importantly it
allowed me to match the organiser to my needs and use it to its full capacity.

I have to
admit that I am not a big fan of cooking. For that reason I have always been
into quick and simple dinners. I have lately also tried to make them ‘healthy
(or rather –ier)’.

I am not
really sure how I came up with this ‘healthy’ alternative to pizza but it
tastes great and I make it on a regular basis.

Mix equal parts of passata and tomato puree in a pan. Add a pinch of Italian
herb mix and cook for couple of minutes. Apologies but I don’t measure things!
It depends on how many pizzas you want to make. I find that half a tube of puree and half a
box of passata is enough for about 6 pizzas. Don’t go overboard with the herbs,
add a bit and if you feel it’s not enough add a bit more. They are quite
aromatic so you’ll find you won't need much.
I have
heard such good things about this product. I have had such high hopes. I really
wanted it to work. Unfortunately it did not work. I am glad I got the mini size
before committing to buying the full sized bottle.

The lotion has a really nice texture and feels lovely on the skin. It actually
made my skin feel very hydrated for the first two times I used it. But my skin
started to hate it straight after that. It actually made it feel dry, rough to
touch and dull looking. I have stopped using it for a while. I gave it another
try after about a month but scenario repeated itself.
Perhaps I had an allergic reaction to the product? I am really not sure but I
have not had a similar experience with any other moisturiser before.

The bottle in the picture looks quite full but I have used most of the 15ml of
product and I feel that I gave it a good try. I had to stop using it in the end
due to my skin looking and feeling just horrible.
It is a shame because I had such high hopes for this product. Oh well! My
journey to find the perfect moisturiser continues.

I hate
packing. I never know what to take, always over pack and always feel like I
haven’t made the right choices. However on this occasion the strangely warm
weather made this task so much easier for me!

I’m staying in York only for one night so packed two daytime outfits and one
night outfit. Daytime consist of dress + cardi and skirt + stripy top combos.
Night time outfit is the simplest thing: a dress. And here’s where I always struggle:
shoes. I am taking two pairs of ankle
boots and Uggs. Seems like a bit obsessive to take 3 pairs of shoes for two day
trip? Well, yes it is but I need Uggs for the day outfit but if it’s too hot I
will need the low heel boots but I can’t go out in any of these so I need black
ankle boots. That’s my crazy thinking. Does it make sense? Probably not :).

One little
wash bag with all of the make-up and skin care essentials and DONE! Hopefully
this will be enough and the weather will stay lovely for us.

Oh! I'm also taking a scarf - an Autumn must.

I have
mentioned last month that I am making an effort to use/use up products from my
skin/body care and make up collections.

For November I have picked 1 skin care, 2 body care and 3 make up items. I have
used all of these products couple of times before but not enough to form firm
opinions. We shall see what I think of these goodies at the end of November.

1. Vichy Idealia Serum – I had a sample of this and loved it so much that I had to pick up the full sized product. Having said that… sample had enough of product for about 3 uses. I am curious to see if my skin will still love it as much after daily usage for a month.

2.
Bath & Body works Pumpkin Body Lotion – I have mentioned this product in my Pumpkin haul here. It has a strong scent but it doesn’t bother me yet. Skin on my legs gets SO dry in the Autumn and Winter. I hope this stuff will sooth it well.

3.
Burt’s bees Coconut Foot Cream – Skin on my feet gets super dry too. I have yet to find a perfect foot cream thou!

4. No7 Skin Illuminator – I have had this stuff for years…. I am pretty sure I it expired long long time ago. BUT! There is only little bit left! I just want to use it up and be done with it (it’s not a bad product thou and it doesn’t break me out despite its age).

5. Benefit Eye Bright – I do like this! I am pretty sure everybody who owns this little guy, does like it. It’s a lovely product. But again… it’s old and I just need to use it up.

My friend
is having her 30th birthday party at home. She will have a marquee in the
garden and lots and lots of massive pom poms! We made ones from newspapers and
tissue paper. It will all look awesome! What I wanted to share with you today
are those pom pom chandeliers I have also made for her party. I got two ‘children
size’ hula hoops from a random stand in my town, they were £1.50 each. I have already had some scraps of fabric at home so used
them to wrap around the hula hoops. The big poms are made from tissue paper; it
was only 49p for each colour from Home Bargains! I made small poms from yarn I
had at home (I was into crocheting few years ago lol).

The whole thing cost hardly anything and I think it will look absolutely
awesome at the party. However I will not deny that it was quite time consuming
and the excitement of making it wore off after couple of hours.

The two chandeliers are currently hanging in my bedroom and living room and
will be transported to the party on Saturday. But I started to like having them
there and it gave me an idea for decorating my bedroom… I’ve added the new idea
to my project list and I will definitely share once completed.
This
pumpkin bundle was only $25 with any purchase worth $30 (I think!). I am not
sure if they still run this promo but I thought I will share my thoughts regardless.

1. Pumpkin Pecan Waffles Gentle Foaming
Hand Soap – I like
the smell of this and I am definitely a fan of the foamy soap. I think the foam
pump makes it more efficient. I haven’t found this drying my skin at all.

2. Pumpkin Loofah – It’s cute, I didn’t use it yet
but will definitely do so.

3. Pumpkin Sweet Cinnamon Body Lotion – I haven’t used it yet but it has
a thick consistency which might mean it will be deeply moisturising (hopefully!).
The scent is nice but slightly overwhelming for my liking.

4. Pumpkin Sweet Cinnamon Fine Fragrance
Mist – I am not
too sure about this product. Is it meant to be like body spray that you spray
after a shower? Or more like a perfume so that you smell like pumpkins? Either
way, I am not sure if I want to smell like pumpkins all day.

5. Pumpkin Pecan Waffles Deep Cleansing
Soap – This
soap has some random little exfoliating particles. I think there are not enough
of them in there to actually work. It also feels a bit weird when washing my
hands. I’m not too keen on it to be fair.

6. Pumpkin Sweet Cinnamon, Pecan Waffle
& Spiced Cider Mini Candles – I really wanted to like these candles, they
are so cute! But the scents are just too strong and too sweet for me. I have
not burned them yet but and I am not sure if I will be able to do it. I might
give them away to a bigger pumpkin fan.

7. Shower Gel – The bundle also included a shower
gel. I gave it to my friend as unfortunately standard shower gels give me rash
and I need to use the Sulfate free ones.

I have come
to a conclusion that I am just not that into Pumpkins. Whilst these products
are lovely there is just something in that scent that doesn’t really speak to
me. I might change my mind when using these more, you never know! As for now
thou, I would pick apple and cinnamon over the pumpkin.
I wish I could go to America again soon to try some other Bath And Body Works products.

I don’t think I will be trying the Spiced Pumpkin Latte any time soon…

This is a lovely Autumn colour. It's a plumy purple colour but it's not too dark. I really like the brush in these Essence polishes. It's quite thick and flat at the end. My nails are big and quite wide so this brush makes the application super easy and quick for me.

Just as any
other beauty blogger I am slightly addicted to buying make up/skin and body
care products. The problem we all have is that we end up with so much… crap (I
don’t mean that the products are no good but that there is a lot of them). Let’s
be honest! NO ONE needs 10 face creams, 15 body lotions, 25 blushes, 8
eyeshadow pallets …and so on. I sometimes feel like I will never use this stuff
up, it will go bad and I will have to throw it away. I hate waste and I hate to
think that all those lovely products I have spent my money on will end up
thrown away. I have therefore decided to go on a shopping ban. I am literally
not allowed to buy any beauty stuff.

But that’s not the end. I will be picking few makeup and skin care products at
the beginning of each month to make an effort of using the stuff. There is no
way I will actually use up a product in one month but at least it will be used and loved for a month. I will switch the products up every
month just so I don't get bored. So this is kind of like a reversed version of Monthly Favourites.

I am pretty sure that I am doing an opposite to every other beauty blogger out
there. But this is who I am. I don’t like to accumulate unnecessary things and
I especially don’t like to stash unused items I have spent my hard earned cash
on. Don’t get me wrong, I like to shop and buy new products. But I think it’s
time for me to face reality – I don’t need so much stuff and the thought of
having billions of blushes does not make me a happier person, even thou I do
love a nice blush.

skin/body care and makeup products for October. This will give me a good

Hi everyone,

I wish I could elaborate a bit more about this post. But all I can think of is: I just felt like sparkles. What do you guys think? These photos are from Instagram so the lilac-y colour shows a bit paler than in real life. I think I can get away with wearing it in Autumn.

Good body scrub should be simple enough item to find in the shops, right? Well, not for me. I have been looking for a good one for quite some time now. Yes, I have found some worth recommending over the course of time. But I am on a budget these days and I simply can't afford £10 body scrub.

I have recently discovered St. Ives Body Scrub. I used to use their face scrubs and always thought they were nice. So I gave a body version a go and it definitely wasn't a waste of money.

To me this product is everything I am looking for in a body scrub :)

Good price - ranges from £3 to £5 (depending if on deal or not) for 300ml

Thick consistency

Lots and lots of little scrubbing granules - not too harsh but not too gentle either

Lovely apricot smell

Does not dry my skin out

Formulated without parabens

I have de-potted mine into a Yankee candle jar. I think it just looks little bit prettier in my bathroom. All in all I think it's a great product. Highly recommended :)

Batiste Tropical and Fresh - defnitely my favourite dry shampoo. Works really well, smells lovely and gives volume. Unfortunately it leaves white powder on the hair so it worked great when I was a blond but I can't use it as a read head now :(

Lazyhead Dry shampoo - I got this from Home Bargains for 50p. I thought it was worth a try for that price... well ... it wasn't. It did absolutely nothing!

Loreal Preference shampoo - this came with a red hair colour I got a while back. It lasted for about 4 washes and my hair felt lovely after using it. Unfortunately red washed out super quick anyway.

Bioderma Sebium Matt Gel - I would highly recommend this product to the girls with oily skin. It definitely helped oils coming through during the day.

Radox Moisture Shower gel - this belonged in my gym bag and I used it in the shower after a gym session. It lathered well and didn't dry my skin out. I would re-purchase.

Tresemme Platinum Strenght Deep Conditioning Treatment - My hair has been going throught super dry faze for quite some time now and I used this treatment as a regular conditioner. It worked really well and decreased hair tangling.

Naked Volume shampoo - All time favourite. Not sure how many bottles of this I have already used up.

Organic Surge Daily Care face wash - I didn't really think much of this. Regular face wash, little bit drying. I wouldn't re-purchase it.

Neal's Yard Remedies Orange Flower facial wash - I adore Neal's Yard products and this wash is not exeption. It hardly lathers but that's not a problem for me. I used it in the mornings to re-fresh and cleanse the skin after the night. It always made my face look looking brighter and more awake.

Naked Hydrating Shampoo - I like this just as much as the volume shampoo. This one is more hydrating but I can't use it too often as it does weigh don my hair (they are super thin). It works great as a shower gel too, very moisturising.

Nivea Invisible anti-perspirant - works good and true to the label doesn't leave any white marks.

Clarins Daily Energizer Cream - I have to admit that this cream did feel more luxourious than a high street brand. It did smell lovely too but I didn't think it actually energized my skin. I didn't really notice any difference in my skin's appearance.

Clinique superfit foundation - I wouldn't say it was long wearing, bit dry formula. Not bad but not great.

Sanctuary Body Souffle - nice texture but not moisturizing enough for my dry skin.

As usual I got lured into buying my first Botanics products by little red 'Offer' label in Boots. I have tried quite a few products from this range since then. Overall I really like this affordable natural range. Products are formulated without parabens and packaging is often made using recycled materials.

Three products I've been especially enjoying are from cleansing category.
Gentle Cleansing Cream All Bright - I got this little guy when my skin was going through dry phase. It will go through it again now that Autumn is here and Winter is getting closer.
Creamy formula of this feels lovely on the skin and removes make up pretty well. To remove everything it needs two applications but it can be used as a good make up 'melting' stage before deep cleansing.

Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm - This stuff is very different to previous hot cloth cleansers I owned (Liz Earle and Superdrug). It's not a thick cream but it has a super thick, almost a paste type formula. It comes with one muslin cloth which is little bit thicker than the ones from Liz Earle but still gentle enough.
This cleanser works really well. It deeply cleanses and smooths the skin just like the packaging says. My skin always feels really nice after using it and my black heads seem to be reduced. It's a very efficient product. I've been using it for quite some time now and it's hardly got a little dent in it.

Microdermabrasion Polish - I would say that this basically is a face scrub. But a really nice one. It's got loads of tiny tiny particles that very gently but effectively remove dead skin. This is an extra step in a cleansing routine and I wouldn't use it more than twice a week. I'm not sure about the whole radiant youth effect but it definitely cleanses very well and makes my skin looks very clean and fresh.

Any fans of Batanics out there? I would love to hear your recommendations :)
I have been using an epilator for many years now. I have never gone back to shaving since I bought my first Philips Ice Epilator about 6 years go. It had a detachable part which sat in the freezer. I had to attach it before epilating and it gave a lovely cooling effect. Eventually however I got used to epilating so much that I didn't use the part at all. After many years of use the epilator itself was still going strong but the wire snapped and that was the end of it's life.

I did some research and went for Braun Silk-epil. This is much of an upgrade from my good old Philips. It's chargeable, it can be used dry or wet and it has quite a few different heads and caps. It has two different speeds but I always use faster speed as I am used to it. It has a bright light which comes very handy when epilating.

I have read some opinions saying this is the least painful epilator out there. Perhaps that's true but I didn't really experience massive difference from my Philips one (that's without the frozen cap). It have always felt little pinching but nothing that I would call a pain. Hair have to be fairly short thou, the longer they are the more you're going to feel it.
Althou I'm all tough when it comes to legs I can't work up my courage to epilate my underarms. I just can't do it... maybe one day... There is a cap with a lot smaller epilating surface provided for that purpose.

My epilating advice:

Don't epilate long hair

Pull the skin taught. It will be less painful but it will also help the epilator to grab the hair

Exfoliate your skin regularly to avoid in-grown hair

You could use it while in the shower but I find that it doesn't slide on as easily as on dry skin

If your hair grow fast, epilate approximately once a week. Thanks to this you will catch hair that grow at different stages

I also use Braun Silk-Epil for shaving my underarms. I have to admit it is not my favourite way of shaving. I do prefer good old razor. But it is convenient and it saves me some pennies. The only razor that doesn't irritate my underarm skin is Wilkinson Intuition with soap attached to it. But replacement pads are quite expensive and the razor tends to get rusty pretty quick if not dried properly (can't really wipe it cause it has soap around it :/). So I switched to the Braun electric shaver. There is one thing that frustrates me about this method of shaving. It is only possible to do a good job if underarms are fully dry. Even drying them very well after shower isn't good enough. It's hard to explain but if there is any kind of moisture on the skin it just won't slide/glide on the skin and won't shave. Other than that I have no problems with it.

Another handy tool Silk -Epil has is a trimmer. It is attached to the shaving cap and has lock/unlock button. I like to use it on my bikini area. As we know skin around there can be very delicate and sensitive. Therefore I avoid shaving or epilating it altogether as those horrible red rash looking like spots come out after. Trimming is a great alternative. Trimmed hairs are so tiny that they're practically invisible. Skin is happy and not irritated.

One last thing to add is that Silk-Epil comes with those wipes that are supposed to be used before epilating. I have never used them so can't say much but I need to check them out to see if they help/make any difference.
Unfortunately my feet aways had a tendency to build up a lot of rough hard skin on them. I have always used these black filing pads and they seemed to work ok. But it was never quite as good as I would have wanted.

I have been running on a treadmill for a few months now and 'feet situation' started to get worse and worse.
I have invested in a Ped Egg. Just like many other people I was frightened of the 'cheese grater' look at first. I can say now that it's completely safe to use and it did not grate my feet to the bone :)
I don't know if Ped Egg is the best thing for rough skin but it certainly is far better than typical filing pads. First time took quite a long time to get rid of all of the roughness. But I've been using it regularly since then and it only takes couple of minutes now.

I still use my filing pad but only to smooth the skin out. Ped Egg leave it a bit 'scruffy' feeling. Couple of swiped of the pad and my feet feel so much better.
I've been also recently using Burt's Bees Coconut foot cream. However I would call it a gel rather than a cream. It has a clear, stickyish texture to it.
I do quite like it so far but it does not sink in very fast. I have not yet found a foot cream that would do. That's the only reason why I have hardly ever bothered with a foot cream.... not sinking in fast enough. I just hate that slippery, greasy feeling on my feet!

My simple, quick routine seems to be working so far and brought my feet back to their normal looking state. But it's not just about the look. Hard skin did actually cause me pain which was very unpleasant.

I would love to know your foot product recommendations as I could probably improve from here :)
I do love Primark! That shop is crazy. Sometimes I am just shocked by the prices there. I was recently lured into a Primark in Torquay when saw new Autumn pieces. I got a lovely nude blouse for £4! I just could not believe it. Next thing was this lovely pattern dress for £8. I thought it's going to be perfect for the summer/autumn/winter transition. I can still wear it with bare legs and sandals while warm. Then I can just keep adding... cardi... boots.... tights... and so on :) well... not much left to add beside a jacket... but you get the idea.

There is a little problem though. It's a bit tight in the chest area. These are the moments where I wish my boobs were smaller. The material does not have any give or stretch. It fits fine everywhere else but my chest. They had size 12 but zipper was broken so I was stuck with 10 and obviously had to have it there and then.
So I decided not to breathe while wearing it and it all turned out good lol But seriously now, it's not that bad but I wish Primark would sort out their sizing. It always runs a bit small. Every other shop I am dead on size 10. With Primark thou... it sometimes is 10, sometimes 12 and sometimes nothing cause 10 is too small and 12 too big ha ha
Anyone else has that problem or am I just unsizable?
One of the things I am absolutely grateful in my new job are weekends off. That includes Bank Holidays. Since I have started working 8 years ago I have never had a job were I didn't have to work weekends or Bank Holidays. I never had that Friday feeling or long weekend excitement. All that has changed since May and I am enjoying it to the maximum.

I have spent past weekend in Torquay. I have never been in Devon or Cornwall before. I was very surprised (althou I probably shouldn't have been at all) to realise that booking a hotel in a place like that, at a time like that won't be easy. There was NOTHING available. Or rather nothing that wasn't ridiculously priced.
But we went anyway. We arrived there Saturday morning and prospects of finding a room were slim. So we decided to just enjoy the day and go with the flow. I did get a bit miserable when I realised we'll have to spend the night in the car! I didn't mind that so much but it was the next day when I would feel gross! In the end I just relaxed about it and thought 'whatever! we're young, let's do it!'. Then we saw a B&B just by the sea with a sign saying 'Rooms availabe'. I don't think I was ever so happy to take a shower and lie down in bed ha ha
We've spent another day and night in Torquay and had a lovely time. It was a great mini break at the of summer.
I have always been a fan of crime and thriller books. I eagerly read to find out what the spin is or who the murderer is in the book.
But this kind of books can get a bit 'heavy' on the brain. There normally are a lot of characters that names I need to remember. Plot of the story can be long, thick and complicated. Basically what I mean is that sometimes after long tiring day at work I really can't be bother to think hard lol

So I decided to read something light that won't involve a lot of thinking ha ha I'm not big on chick lit type of books so wasn't really sure what else is out there. But one day I had a little rummage thru my friend's books and found three books that were perfect for me. These are stand-up comics biographies. I never read biographies before but figured since these guys are funny on stage, their writing must be funny too.
I wasn't disappointed. I didn't read Stephen Fry just yet but other two were hilarious. Alan Carr especially... this guy just cracks me up... Apart from the funniness thou it was a good insight to their lives before the fame. It showed how much hard work they've put and risk they took into becoming who they are now.
Alan
Carr 'Look who it is!'
Michael McIntyre 'Life & Laughing'
Stephen Fry 'The Fry Chronicles'

We all need a bit of comedy and lighthearted humor in out lives. Sometimes it's so easy to get yourself wound up in everyday stressful craziness and forget that little funny story can make us laugh and forget all the troubles for a moment :)
